As per the latest updates, farmers who are beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Scheme must link their bank account with Aadhaar and get their e-KYC verified by February 10, 2023. The state nodal officer of the scheme, Meghraj Singh Ratnu, announced that this step is mandatory for the next installment transfer and direct benefit transfer to the bank account.

The Government of India has given instructions in this regard, and by January 2023, 67% of the beneficiaries in the state have completed their e-KYC and linked 88% of their bank accounts with Aadhaar. However, there are still 24.45 lakh beneficiaries who need to get their e-KYC done and 1.94 lakh who need to link their bank account with Aadhaar.

Mr. Ratnu advised that those who have not yet linked their bank account and completed their e-KYC must do so before February 10, 2023. India Post Payments Bank has been authorized for this purpose.
