About ICEGATE Portal
Icegate was launched by the Government of India to ease the business of exports, including the introduction of the Icegate e-payments system and the Icegate Bill of Entry. All this can be done by registering on Icegate and then performing the Icegate login process. All the details are mentioned below:

Indian Customs and Central Excise Electronic Commerce Gateway (ICEGATE) is an online-based interface provided by the Indian government to administer their residents so that they can pay all taxes and duties easily from their places without any difficulty.
In other words, ICEGATE is an internet-based platform that facilitates people to pay their online bills and taxes. The ICEGATE program enables Indian residents to perform their responsibilities toward the country without any hassle.
Registration Process
The Indian government knows that the country needs broad-based economic growth and more effective public services. Therefore, they enable people to shift toward online scenarios. ICEGATE is the e-filing service aspiration of this developing path.
IEC Registration is permitted on the ICEGATE website, with a Digital Signature, and requires approvals. Such enlisted IEC holders can record reports on ICEGATE. To attract people for Registration and use the web portal, the Government started to advertise on ICEGATE and to give them different data administrations, including reports. A need is felt to give a Simplified Auto Registration on ICEGATE. This
Improved Auto Registration depends on IEC and GSTIN, requires OTP confirmations of email, and versatile numbers.
The streamlined Registration Module in ICEGATE is intended to enroll at the ICEGATE without the need to transfer the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), PAN check, report transfer to ICEGATE, and endorsement system.
KEY POINTS FOR REGISTERING ON ICEGATE:
- Any new user can register on the portal as an F-type holder. The process remains entirely the same for other types of users.
- Parent or F-type cardholders have the special feature of enabling or disabling their child user(s).
- Any time you want to register on ICEGATE, you’ll need a new e-mail ID. Once registered, you cannot register again with the same e-mail ID. If proceeding with the same e-mail address, you can directly log in to ICEGATE.
- It is important to possess a soft copy of your PAN card as credentials need to be entered and verified later.
- Digital signatures of the users are required in the process. Keep them ready on your computer.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED WHILE REGISTERING ON ICEGATE:
The following documents are required while registering on the ICEGATE portal. These are all scanned copies.
- Aadhar card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID
- Authorization letter
- Authorization of F or G card
- Commissioner’s Order
Registration Procedure
- Visit the official website of the portal.
- On the homepage, click on Registration and click on Sign Up.
- Click on Simplified Registration Link and then provide the asked details like IEC, GSTIN, and password.
- Then fill in your ID and password. (The ID and password shall be of your choice.) Confirmed password should be the same as the newly entered password.
- Then OTP will be sent for verification on your provided mobile number and e-mail ID. Confirm them and get the credentials verified.
- Your registration process will be completed.
WHY ICEGATE?

- One may verify the IE Code status.
- Online verification of DEPB/DES/EPCG licenses can be performed online.

Public Enquiries, CIP (Compliance Information Portal), PGA Registration, custom dues e-payments, eSANCHIT, Digital signature, Manifest Regulation, ICE Dash, IGST Validation Enquiry, Exchange Rate notifications, IPR e-Reg, etc.
